Who We Work With

Ag Lending Group helps Arizona farmers and ranchers finance land purchases, refinances, land-backed lines of credit, development projects and hobby acreage. We're a Phoenix-based farm financing advisor, so we know how lenders look at water, grazing leases and desert ground, and we shop your deal to the ag lending partners that fit it.

Arizona operations don't fit a one-size loan. Cattle ranches often run on a mix of deeded land and state or federal grazing leases. Farms along the Colorado River and in central Arizona grow hay, cotton, small grains and winter vegetables, and the value of that ground rides on its water. We put your water documentation, leases and operating history in front of the lenders who understand them.

Water rules matter here too. Much of central and southern Arizona sits inside Active Management Areas or Irrigation Non-Expansion Areas, where you generally can't add new irrigated acres and the irrigation rights tied to the ground carry a lot of its value. Outside those areas, lenders still want to see your wells, any irrigation district or surface water rights, and how dependable the supply is. We help you pull that documentation together before the appraiser or lender asks for it.

Whether you operate 40 acres or 40,000, we work with Arizona cattle ranches, hay and alfalfa growers, vegetable and specialty crop farms, dairies, pecan and citrus growers, hobby farms and ag businesses.

A real Arizona story: turning land equity into a clean slate

A producer outside Tucson came to us with an operating line of credit that had grown heavier than it should have. We arranged a cash-out loan against his land, used it to pay off the line, and moved that debt onto longer, steadier terms so the operating line could go back to doing its real job.

Hear from some of the farmers we’ve helped:

  • "Our operations relationship with Ag Lending Group has been a great value add to our business."

Arizona Farm & Ranch Loan FAQs

No. We're based in Phoenix and work with farmers and ranchers across the country, but Arizona is home.

Do you only work with Arizona farms?

1

Water is often the biggest driver of value. Expect lenders to ask about your water source, rights and any restrictions in your area, and to have the appraiser account for them.

How do lenders look at water on Arizona farmland?

2

Leased or permitted grazing usually isn't collateral, but long-term leases and permits support your income and show lenders the operation is stable.

Can grazing leases help me qualify for a ranch loan?

3

Can I finance a few acres outside Phoenix or Tucson?

4

Often, yes. Smaller rural acreage is usually financed as a hobby farm or rural residential loan. See our hobby farm loans page.
